    All parts used in SSP designs are of the highest level of reliability available, consistent with their functional requirements and program cost and schedule constraints. The overall parts program is accomplished with minimum total life-cycle cost, with minimum duplicative efforts, and within a reasonable timeframe. FOREWORD.
